The One Minute Manager

A Management Tool That created a kind of thundering inside my thinking about managing not just a company but also our lives.

I take an example which is not from the book and i have fabricated it that when you study anything and go for some exams or tests you come with your score and tell your parents you got such and such numbers because whether you are going to get appraisals or reprimand you know it will benefit you. Simply any day you ask your mom that "mom please help me making my time table ". Because u wanna set your goals and u want your mom to know it so that she can keep a check on your performance and reprimand you or praise you at the rught time.

This was more of the sholarly examples but the book gave a very clear picture of what effective management is and i know it will help me a lot in my career and in my personal life a lot.
The three secrets given were completely justifiable and they include everything what a management, a company or an employee demands or expect from his workplace.

Message in a bottle..........Nicholas Sparks

A Love Story With a lot of difference one cannot imagine even.

The character Garret in particular was fabricated with such a beauty and was so much delirious. He wanted to love but his feeling for catheriene his late wif were embded deep inside his heart which never he was able to take out.

Theresa on the other and was a nice charatcter overall but why she left GAretts house the last afternoon and why she did not stop even when she saw garrett running behind her car was still unanswered. She should have stoped and the story would have ended with a feeling of happiness rather than a grief for the most beautiful charcter garrett inside the reader. The author tried to end the story with positive feling with the thanks giving of Theresa Still it could have been much better if She would have called her once after she showed him so much of anger which compelled him to take his life to catherene.

Only one line in the whole book took everything from my heart that when cathereine the late wife said Garett "Who do you think brought the bottle to her ?" This line was the Summary of the whoile story and it was very beautiful on the part of author.

Overall a nice one to read but not the best of the author.

Who Moved My cheese? ..........................

Who moved my cheese ?............

by Spencer Johnson

A book I really njoyed reading. It was all so living and it was all so experiencing that took place. It was not a story of two mice and two
little people for me. It was a story of I comparing myself under different characters sometime I'm sniffy, some time scurfy, sometime haw and
very less but also Hem. I always njoy changes in my life but at some
time I also behaved in such manner that i use to ask the same question Who moved my cheese?.

The author's point was direct to the heart that njoy your present position but keep analyzing the changes and be ready for the changes. For the changes brings a new way to travel and a new state to think. And from
the childhood we know new things are so interesting.

The story is all about the four characters Sniff, who sniffs the changes as soon as possible, scurry who scurry changes, haw who resist changes and hem who think his cheese are his own territory.

We cannot blame any one for moving our cheese because the sooner we begain our journey in the maze sooner we will get our new cheese. And that to when you will not be afriad of changes you will njoy every moment of those period between the old cheese and the new cheese.

Throughly inspiring the story was awesome and it helped me a lot to change my attitude for changes.Certainly I will recommend this to all my friends and loved ones.

LaJJa.................................Taslima Nasrin......

I wish I could do justice with my Review to a book from the most controversial author. Well I'm in a state of dillema for what arroused the fury among the people against Taslima?. She was never on one side of the boat. She told us only those things what happened in her country due to Babri Masjid controversy. Her writing was Subjective according to my Sir. But to me it was Objective.

With all those acts and figure which can take out your heart from your inside and your heart will ask you "Dont you have a heart?". She showed a face on the mirror not only to Bangladeshis but to Indians, Pakistanis, Africans, even U.S.A where one or th other time was racial discrimination on the basis of colour, caste or even status.

This topic brought in notice of everyone what happens when this kinda disputes on the basis of religion happen. What happens physically thats one point. But what happens mentally just like "Suranjan" takes your life out of your body every second.

Just think of it a Hindu Patriot Sudhmay dont wanna levae his country for which he fought the most disastrous battl to make his country free. What will happen to his heart when his only Daughter was raped ? , kidnaped?, killed ? by the people of his own country whom he thought to be his brothers at the time of national liberation. And thereto the only crime of her daugther was that she was HINDU. I think this was the most serious crime she did. But was she really responsible for Babri masjid fall.

Think of it and then think of lacs of people till now who died in this danga fasads either it is bangladesh, India, PAkistan or any otehr country whether it is Babri Masjid, Godhra kand, Partition, Apartheid or any other. Its just people who are killed due to the most offensive crime in this world and that is Division of people.

The character of Suranjan helpless in all this happenings finds himself to be the guilty for everything because loving a country with Partiality in its constitution is a crime, his calling of bangladesh his own country was a crime, his taking rounds to see those people who died was a crime and all the principles of his heridity which he followed was a crime. And finally he left his country But can Suranjan get any place on this earth where he will get NO DIVISION.

Mukhtar mai..........................in the name of honor

Mukhtar Mai.. …….In the name of honor.

The true story of Mukhtar Mai shows that face of the Pakistani society (considering cultures to be of time before partition) which no one can hide at least from our selves। A women with all the doors closed and only one will to get those people punished who punished her without any guilt। She shouted in front of whole world “what was my fault”।

And the whole world realized her pain।

Raped by four people, in front of the whole village, Mukhtar was left with two options one to suicide and the other two fight back for her Honor, for the honor of her family and for the honor of Women society. No one walked in the second path but she dared to do so. She took them to court faced all those ups and down which the police creates to save the dominant parties.

How innocently she says that “Its desire for justice that has given me back my honor, because a person should never feel guilty for one else’s crime.”

22 June 2003 she faced the evil in the jirga.
30 June 2003 she complained as she was deciding between suicide and honor.
31 august 2003 the antiterrorism court gives death sentence to six and eight were relieved.

Abdul khalif , Mohhammad faiz, Ghulam farid, Allah dita.
And two other for witnessing the crime namely Faiza and Ramzan(mukhtar’s uncle who played a suspicious role).
But inspite of Mukhtars continous fight the Lahore high court reversed the anti-terrorism courts decision and released all of them. Mukhtar never left her hope and reached every door even the PM to get her justice. Then the supreme court agreed to take the appeal of reveiew by supreme court.
In between president Musharaf also tried to stop mukhtar from delivering any speech outside the country to hide the insane of those people who call themselves the living God over womens.
Inspite of the Destructing life mukhtar faced she was gutsy enough to come up with solution atlleast for the future generation to come. She started running a school in her town meerwala.
At present she is working in many projects for the upliftment of women in Pakistan and other parts of the world.
Mukhtar mai’s story made me think again and again about the male dominated society we are still living in. Leave the cities aside think of the place like meerwala and you will shiver with fear that the story is more or less the same in their land as well as in our’s .

Hamlet

Next I have read Hamlet. It was written between 1599 to 1601 by William Shakespeare. It was an act which will visualize many hidden thoughts of yours. And it will give you a new startegy making mind. For me the journey of Hamlet was more or less the same as for Macbeth just the difference was There were more poetic expressions and Shakespeare used Hamlet skillfuly in the poetic sense. William also made opphella a bit poetic in the end. But the poetic expressions of shakes were far more better than a plan mystery.

Hamlet the son to the king of denmark is a warrior and has been sent to england. His uncle has the throne after his fathers death. And just after two months of his fathers death his mother gets married to his uncle. Unhappy with both this, hamlet meets his friends and courtier Hortio and Bernardo who tell him about his fathers Ghost.
Hamlet meets his fathers ghost, Who tells him that King was killed by his uncle and betrayed by his mother. In the fire of revenge Hamlet plays Enough startegies and Finally kills Everyone including himself because he mixes poison to all the drinks and he himself takes one along with , his uncle the murderer, his mother , learates.
Still a question in my mind is that polonius should not have been killed i dont know why the story turned like that.

The Alchemist

My Faculty recommended me this book, I heard about this book earlier. But never paid much attention. I was scared that it would prove out to be a book with lots of rules, on how to live your life. But I was amazed, Shocked and captivated by the glory and optimism of the book.

The boy santiago in search of his treasure found everything which was no less than the real treasure. The old king who gave him the path to travel, The daughter of merchant, The crystal glass merchant, Fatima his love ,The english man , The alchemist and finally his personal legend.

Four obstacle told by the author made a deep imapct on me and every one who will read will feel the same.

If you desire something the whole universe conspires you to achieve that" this lines feel every ones heart with a confidence to dream and a confidence to realize your dreams.

Every one has a personal legend but few achieve it because of the four obstacles.

Love,

The ability to dream.

The confidence that dreams not impossible,

The realization of dream.

The boy leaving behind all this obstacle reached the destiny but look at the creator he again got an omen that his treasure was in the same sacymore, he used to sit with his sheeps.

The conversation of the biy with wind, Sun and the creator were breath taking.

Finally what I got from this book is more than the treasure of santiago but from this treasure of mine I give 10% to my wise man and should say my omen Guru sir who recommended me this book.

A great round of applause for Poulo.

Macbeth by William shakespeare

Whenever I thought of shakespeare, I thought of poetry for love, for emotions, and for feelings. Two of them where here, emotions and feelings but the love had its antonym here and that was hatred. Not in a true form but hatred,to kill the king and get the throne or to get back the throne from cruel Macbeth. So shakespeare gave us a great example of his can't be forgetable poetry ones again.

Macbeth, the general in the army of king Duncan, is a great warior. He made the king of scotland win the cumberland under adverse conditions. He dremead of becoming the king of cumberland. But Duncain, gave the throne to his son Macolum. Now the three witches gave Macbeth advices to kill the king during his visit to Macbeths house. So beauteas were the words MAcbeth said "i take a step backward so that the stars coming for macolum should not show my intensions to you under their light".
After killing the king,Macbeth lost his mind and felt himself to be guilty with all faith, guilt and death knocking his door. His co partner in the murder his wife gave him courage to be bad enough to handle all this.
The end of macolum and his wife both were written the day they commited this crime.Macolum along with MAcduff and Siward attacked and won the throne. Macduff detached Macbeths head from his body and gifted it to macolum.Lady Macbeth died of being a maniac with all her wrond deeds She was able to see herself in hell before being dead originally and finally she gone to see the hell in reality.

One Hundred Years Of Solitude

The story made a very rigrous exercise of my mind. Right from the start the story moved from a small town , the children all of them named more or less the same aurliano ,aurliano junior , arcadio all of them. To get the correct recognition I wrote the names of them and their relations with each other in a piece of paper. Also who married whom was a big question for me to answer. But talking about the book overall it opened severall windows to think and analyize life. the role of Aureliano Segundo, Colonel Aureliano Buendía, José Arcadio Buendía, Amaranta Úrsula, Petra Cotes were true pieces of creatiity. Overall a very good book and must read for those who think life can have only one dimension. Aurliano junior a character had so many transformations in his life that one would think how could author do this. But thats the speciality of gabriel. I also thank Amit bhaiya for recommending me such nice piece of art.

The Tao Of Physics

After reading this book I once again checked my twelth standard book and thought hat whatever i read was just an introduction. and a true face of physics in relation to philosophy was shown to me by The tao of physics.
I could not ever imagine the relation betwwen hinduism, jainism, and the tao, all this teachings start from a very known thing that us atom, and this gives all of them a start from the same line. So the authors conveys the message how they are interrelated. My perception for the story was that it told very silently to all of us that hinduism, jainism, or the tao all of them started from the word, Dhyan. and this dhyan was looking inside your own self. inside your oown self u will find that every human is made of atoms and so every study comes from Atoms and an individual entity.A good one to nurture my knowledge for humanity.

siddhartha

hermann hesse -
This story made me think again and again about the life of buddha and the boy govinda made my mind more thirsty to know more about the buddha. overall it was a very nicely arranged story and all the parts were very creatively arranged.Gautum, his son and the friend he had, the way his friend changed his life and the eternal desire of gautum for the noble man. all this turned out to be a story which left impressions deeper than emotions and heavier than feelings.

The journey of soul

This book I took from the Dera of Radha swami satsang beas punjab, and first thing i found was there was no name of any guru any God just the pure story of how a soul formed and how it gets back to its home after completing her duty. There is no particular author to the book. And its there ideaolgy on which they work. And it all was visible at there place. The book told about the formation of soul though a perceptive story but it touches heart to the extent what a right thing does.It tells you that every soul is a drop of water out from the ocean of heaven and it circulates to different bodies and after the journey of soul gets completed it has to go back to its ocean of heaven.
But the soul becomes unhappy with the wrong doings of human, although clear description of wrong and right was not given in the book. But it was said that when heart hesitate to do something it is wrong. So the journey of soul was all about how to keep the soul happy.

How to be a good tennant as we all are on rent by the soul and the real hero is our soul.but still what i felt was "Picture abhi baki hai mere dost"

love story by erich segal

The story of a couple in which one is from a high society but doesnot want to indulge in that. and other is the daughter of a bakery man phil who wanna get her in laws in her life all this which regularly take part in any indian family is a part of the story and finally it becomes kal ho na ho but with a change that here the girl dies due to some diseases.

this story made me hungry but my hunger was not satisfied till the end i would reccomend to extend the story to some more life of barret 4 and barret 3 after jenifer died and how olliver barret treated his family after that. how was the living of phil after his loving daughter left him alone and also those people of jenifer's home town who loved her so much what was their reaction all this should be added.

but still the story was heart touching and emotionally awesome.

LEE IACOCOCA

LEE IACOCOA

AN AUTOBIOGRAPHY.

WHERE TO START AND WHERE TO END. THE WHOLE OF HIS AUTOBIOGRAPHY WAS FULL OF LESSONS TO FIGHT BACK, LESSONS TO MANAGE UR BUISNESS AND UR COURAGE AND LESSONS TO LOVE UR DOINGS. WHEN I STARTED THIS ONE, FORD WAS MY FAVOURITE CAR MANUFACTURER, NOW AT THIS POINT WHEN I HAVE ENDED IT I HAVE ANYTHING MADE BY LEE IACOCOCA TO BE MY FAV. OR ANYTHING WITH A SEAT BELT IN IT AND NOT THE AIR BAGS. THE AUTOBIOGRAPHY STARTED WITH LOTS OF INTEREST FOR THE READER AND ENDED WITH LEE IACOCOCA DEMANDING AN ORDER FROM YOU, YES THAT THE WAY HE IS, ALWAYS LOOKING FOR SOME TRICKS TO SELL HIS PRODUCTS.

IN THE START OF THE BIOGRAPHY, IN HIS PROFESSIONAL LIFE HE HAD TAKEN DECISIONS FROM HIS HEART. NOT TO GO IN ENGINEERING WAS ONE OF THEM AND HE SELECTED SALES AS A BETTER OPTION.

MUSTANG WAS LIKE LEE IACOCOCA WAS PLAYING CARD WITH THE FORD MANAGEMENT IN WHICH LEE ONLY KNEW THAT ALL THE FOUR KINGS WERE WITH HIM. HE DID SO WELL TO GET MUSTANG SOLD OUT THAT HE WAS CORRECTLY CALLED "THE FATHER OF MUSTANG".

FIRING FROM FORD, AFTER 32 YEARS OF EXCELLENT WORK IN 1979, WAS A START OF A NEW IACOCOCA AGAIN IN HIS 20S TO DEAL WITH THE WORLD IN HIS OWN STYLE.
AND HIS WIFE HAS DESCRIBED CORRECTLY IN THE FOLLOWING LINES THAT-
GOD WAS HAVING SOMETHING GOOD FOR YOU THAN BEING A FORD PRESIDENT.

CHRYSLER JOINING WAS A DECISION TAKEN BY LEE TO PROVE THAT IACOCOCA IS IACOCOCA AND WHAT DOES IT MEAN. HE DID AS HE DESIRED. HE NOT ONLY TOOK THE HSIP OF CHRYSLER TO THE SHORE. HE ALSO TOOK IT OUT FROM THE HEARTH OF SEA AND MADE IT FLY IN THE SKY WITH THE FORD ROCKET. I KNOW IT SEEMS TO BE IMAGINARY BUT THE SCENE WAS SAME AT THAT TIME.

LEE IACOCOCA ALSO GAVE AN IMPRESSION OF A PATRIOTIC PERSON. AND HIS "EQUALITY OF SCARFICE" IN A TRU SENSE IS APPLICABLE TO INDIA ALSO.

IT WAS IN ALL SUPERB

until we meet again

ITS a story of a girl darcy her lover hakeem, the vilan brain masoon ,his sister,
and the love and situations of love of darcy and hakeem.its a blue ford series written by anne schraff.
"The story with a pain, but the story without brain".
When i say this line i have two thinkings in my
mind the first is that, that the story is of someone's
pain, but when i say the story without brain that
means u dont have to have ur brain with u while
reading this one u just need ur heart and if ur heart
has love in it then u will feeel the same pain. And
believe me friends when i started reading it i not
only njoyed every moment of it but i lived a life with
those characters and i think after 24 hrs of ending the
book im still with them planning there life ahead.
EVERY little thing in the story has its own importance
the baby sitting, the finale everything has a truely
emotional and eternal effect on the heart directly.
this book was the first book in my whole life which
made me feel that love in itself has so varied forms
and also the incident of forced love depicted in the
book also makes an impression that love comes from
heart and it cannot be generated from brain thats
why i say the story without brain.
superb journey............

"THE PROPHET"

"THE PROPHET" this book is in two word i have to describe it then it is "simply everything". KHALIL GIBRAIN has set the book at such a standard that its really critical to think what our role is in the society and in out own lifes. When i started reading this book i thought its a simple story of a man going from a town where he lived for many years to his home town and his life. But as the people of the small town asked him to bless them with his words and when he started, the story was never the same again.he gave realistic definitions of each and every thing for example- a teacher a student a, a mother a father, what is a good and what is evil ?

let us take the last question what is good and what actualy is evil the prophet says there is only good in this world npthing is evil, evil is nothing but good tortured with hunger and thirst.

this words are something which can just transform ones life. The way the prophet says "what should i say to the people of this town" is in a true sense makes the reader feel that something valuable is going to be delivered. my journey of the prophet was fantastic and it gave me definitions to many things which i adopted in my own life so "life transforming"

Monday, January 21

many lives many masters

when i was in twelth i had a question in my mind that
a pen has its own purpose a chalk has its own purpose
but im a human being what is the purpose of my life
what will happen when i will die?
to some extent i got rid of this questions from
brian weiss who himself suffered this story in
his real life and it took him away from his
profession of a psycatrist. being a doctor the
patient he was hypnotising suddenly started
saying some abnormal things at the age of 3 or 4
on taking her around 100 years a behind she started
telling about her previous birth and this transformed
not only the patients life but the doctor himself got
many answers of his own life. overall for me im
waiting for the next to come.

HONEST LIVING

This book has a special story I took it from the
dera of "radha swami stsang beas"when i started
reading i had a fear that the talkings will be truly
on the surfacial level as im not a folloer of any
satsang and a follower of knowing what actually
my life is?

whatever, I started reading the book and found
that the book contained the most filtered and
generalised form of how to lead a honest life.
you may think that this kind of stories make
u feel how dishonest we are and so we escape
from this kinda creations. But believe me friends
when one of the honest living point maches ours
we feel obliged enough to follow the others but for
that u need to do atleast one honest deed so do it
and read it.

AESOP'S FABELS

oh!god cant express this in words it was not
that i was reading a book but the life was
transforming with whatever was being taught
by aesop and it was like my grand mom
telling me the factors of life the whole
experience of me and aesop willl continue
till i come down to ashes .
Some of the stories like "the sick lion"
turned my life like something i cant explain.
I will share the stroy with you people
I was very fond of fighting with others.
In this i was having a group of ten to
twelwe colony brothers and we purposefully
selected those people who were helpless
so this stoy transformed me and now we
support the helpless people so like this every
lesson was life transformming for me and
from were ever i get an aesop's fabel i just
pick it up and complete it.

skipping chritsmas

This is another of those which took me to another
world of love, affection and emotion. The family
which tries to skip chritsmas and how many
things work simultanously to stop them
directly or indirectly.

The daughter whom they were expecting to come
after two years also calls them that she is cumng
for chritsmas and the loving mom decides that
they will cancel their trip. Here it also gives me
an emotional touch because my elder brother
is also working out and we also cancel everything
when its his time.

This story also tells about neighbour relations
but with a final output of neighbour always
helping each other.

The moral of the story in my perception is "from
whom u try to hide the things they only
help u at the reverse situations".
